Outside the Shop: Season 1, Episode 1 | Health and Accessibility
Are you smarter than these kids in manufacturing? Travel to Hot Springs, Arkansas, with the Outside the Shop team and meet some incredible kids who are developing products to help children and adults with disabilities. Elementary schooler Arkhan used a 3D scanner, CAD software, and additive manufacturing to print his own prosthetic leg. A team of classmates at Roberts Elementary worked together to develop additive printed pencil grippers for children with developmental disabilities. Using sensors, haptics, and microcontrollers, Elisha built a Smart Cane for the visually impaired.
